Hello! Back in the late 90s, I was fascinated by the flight of boomerangs. Being left-handed and finding very few left-handed models, I naturally started making my own out of wood.
My boomerangs worked well, which inspired me to dive deeper into the physics of their flight. A few years later, after studying the scientific literature—including Félix Hess's thesis and various online simulation projects—I decided to develop a tool to design boomerangs and calculate trajectories to optimize their shapes. However, due to a lack of time and the complexity of the programming, I eventually set the project aside.
Recently, my son and I have regained our motivation, especially thanks to how much easier coding has become with AI tools. That is why we are now sharing a beta version of our program with any boomerang enthusiasts who might be interested.
